SYMPTOM(s):
UIM Error: Invalid UIC method called. (4044)
CAUSE:
A conflict between the operating system and Progress occurs when releasing control of widgets if ActiveX controls are involved when:
1. An older version of an windows based OS is being used.
2. A new version of Progress being connected to an older version of a database.
FIX:
Install the latest version of that Operating System and patches.
