Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
Microsoft Access and SQL-92 Engine reporting different number of records for the same table
SQL Tracing validated same code being executed via Microsoft Access and SQL Explorer
Generating SQL queries against the table via other ODBC compliant tools show consistent number of records as SQL Explorer.
Only Microsoft Access is reporting incorrect number of records for a table
dbtool did not locate any SQL width issues.
CAUSE:
Microsoft Access was pointing to a test database that was not an exact copy of the production database.
FIX:
1. Delete old links for the test database in Microsoft Access that are pointing to the wrong version of the production database.
2. Create new links in Microsoft Access for the test database that point to an exact copy of the production database.
