SYMPTOM(s):
NameServer fails to start.
Error Registering NameServer <NameServer> with RMI Registry <URL> (8191)
Error Registering NameServer NS1 with RMI Registry rmi://.../NS1 (8191)
Error Initializing NameServer. (8193)
AdminServer log shows:
SvcControlCmd.connectToService() failure: Unable to connect to the service process at rmi://.../NS1(after 10 retries) (8171).
The host name does not contain any non-standard characters.
CAUSE:
The system name/host name begins with a number, rather than a character, which causes the RMI URL to be resolved incorrectly.
FIX:
Change the host name to begin with a character.
