SYMPTOM(s):
Windows error "The name '<Path>' specified in the Target box is not valid." trying to start Progress application from a short-cut
The name '<Path>' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and filename are correct.
Shortcut target contains path to PROWIN32.EXE and specifies -p parameter
Whole shortcut path is encapsulated in quotation marks, i.e.
"C:\PROGRAM FILES\PROGRESS\PROWIN32.EXE -p C:\start.w"
CAUSE:
Quotation marks are placed incorrectly
FIX:
Quotation marks used because PROGRAM FILES contains a space character, but they should only encapsulate the initial path and not the parameters i.e.
"C:\PROGRAM FILES\PROGRESS\PROWIN32.EXE" -p C:\start.w
