SYMPTOM(s):
The shared memory is version <num>; expected <num> (1178)
The shared memory is version 9128; expected 9127 (1178).
Could not spawn a SQL server. (8842)
Error occurred when connecting to database via SQLEXP.
Error occurred when connecting to database via SQL92 client.
4GL users worked ok.
FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AIX
Progress 9.1x
CAUSE:
Wrong version of DLC/lib/librocket_r.so file had been copied to the DLC/lib directory at sometime.
FIX:
Replace the librocket_r.so file with one of the proper version. One may be obtained from an installation of the same version and Service pack level that is working.
