FIX:
In order to start a unified broker under a Windows 2003 user account, the Windows user needs to be granted appropriate privileges.
You can set a user to be the owner of the process of any unified broker:
WebSpeed
AppServer
ORACLE DataServer
ODBC DataServer
MSS DataServer.
Extra privileges are required for the specified user before you start the broker using that specific account. If the user does not have all these rights, the broker will not start. These are the steps to set rights for a user:
1) Create User:
Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management - Local User and Groups
o Create the User(s)
o User - Properties - Member Of: Add 'Administrators'
2) Add User Rights:
Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Local Security Policy (Settings)
In 'User Rights Assignment' add following
- Log on as a service.
- Log on as batch job.
- Act as part of the operating system.
- Adjust memory quotas for a process
- Create a token object.
- Replace a process level token.
