SUMMARY:
When you configure NT 4.0 or 3.51 in the following
timezones the html page generated by WebSpeed includes the
message "cgiip: unable to determine current timezone"
This happens in the following 'NT' timezones:
Eniwetok
Midway
Hawaii
Arizona
Mexico City
Saskatchewan
Bogata
Indiana
Caracas
Buenos Aires
Monrouia
Harare
Baghdad
Abu Dhalbi
Kabul
Islanabad
Bombay
Almaty
Bangkok
Hong Kong
Tokyo
Darwin
Guam
Magadan
Fiji.
This list represents 25 out of 50 timezones.
SOLUTION:
Most of these can be worked around. If you are in Indiana for instance, you can set your timezone to Eastern, and turn off "Adjust
for daylight savings time".
There are however 9 timezone that are not so easily adjusted.
Example -- if you are in Hawaii this workaround doesn't apply because Hawaii is the only timezone at -11 hours GMT.
