SYMPTOM(s):
Fathom Management, disk replacement
A disk was replaced (hot swap) in a mirrored and striped array
Fathom Management reports that this disk needs defining
Fathom Management showing that there is a new disk to be configured
Server has not been rebooted
CAUSE:
Disk crashed and has been removed and replaced. After the disk was replaced it was assigned a new name and the machine was not rebooted. Fathom Management is reporting that this change needs to be configured.
FIX:
There are two ways to fix this:
Preferably, Reboot the machine after hot swapping the new disk and re-naming it on the disk array
Alternatively, Fathom Management needs to re-set the new disk
STEPS:
[RESOURCES] -> <select> -> "delete" the resource that was removed
[RESOURCES] -> "disks discover" new one to identify the new disk
