Install error 136 on NT - configuration data incompatible
Installation error 136 states: The configuration data entered is for
an incompatible machine.Call Progress Technical Support.
SOLUTION 1 (on 8.1A)
You will see error 136, if you are using a serial number and control
codes for an 8.1A NT Database server with an 8.1A client CD.
The 8.1A client CD is labeled:" 8.1A Windows ".
The 8.1A Database Server CD is labeled:" 8.1A Windows NT ".
Make sure you are using the correct CD for the product you are
installing.
SOLUTION 2 (in general)
Check the serial number and the control code. Make sure the licence corresponds with the platform you are installing on.
If these are correct please check the Media ID on the CD or packaging.
Make sure it corresponds with the platform you are installing on.
If this license number number or the Media ID of the CD does not correspond please call your local sales office for the right licence numbers or CD.
