GOAL:
Can I mimic behavior of -Mpte using "chatr +p _mprosrv"?
GOAL:
Can I change the way shared memory is allocated using chatr on HPUX?
FACT(s) (Environment):
HP-UX
FIX:
The -Mpte is a parameter that will control how progress database shared memory is allocated, but chatr is an OS utility that changes the executable's attributes. +p requests a particular virtual memory page size that should be used for data. The data segment of vitual page is for the executable itself, has no relations to progress database shared memory, which is controlled by database engine.
