SYMPTOM(s):
Error 87 when loading the data through Progress/400 Data Dictionary
Error reading line 1, offset = 0: ** Input value 0. It should be yes or no (87)
The problem refers to the logical field that has the wrong values for its datatype.
The data was dumped using a backup copy of the DB2/400 physical file and loaded to another file (in production database)
The backup database was restored to a different location, a new server schema was created with DUPPRODB and the information updated with the command CHGPRODCT.
CAUSE:
The way the backup database was restored caused the loss of all Progress specific attributes. The logical datatype in Progress is represented by the character datatype in DB2/400. Running CHGPRODCT resulted in "unexpected" (but correct) information in the server schema.
FIX:
Fix the values of that specific field in the dumped records.
