PROCOPY-How It Affects CRC's And The Master Block Of The DB
PROCOPY is a block to block copy of the database and has no effect
on the CRC values in the metaschema for the database.
PROCOPY makes an identical copy of the database with the following
exceptions:
procopy <source-db> <target-db>
1. The master block of the target database is modified slightly to
reflect that this database was "procopied".
2. If After Imaging was started on the source database, it is turned
off on the target.
There is an additional option to PROCOPY for version 8 that allows
a copy to be made without these changes to the master block. The
option is -exact. This will not update the master block for the
target database indicating it was "procopied". It will also not
alter the master block to indicate that after imaging is turned off,
even though it has to be, and is.
