GOAL:
Why do I see a difference in Media size for 10.0A UNIX 32-bit and 64-bit O/S?
GOAL:
Media size for 10.0A UNIX 32-bit differs from 64-bit media.
FACT(s) (Environment):
HPUX 32-bit =372.7 MB compressed
HPUX 64-bit = 110.9 MB compressed
Sun Solaris 32-bit = 114 MB compressed
Sun Solaris 64-bit = 363.9 MB compressed
FIX:
Not all parts of the product are available on all platforms. For example, on the 64-bit platforms, Progress delivers some objects in the 32-bit compiled object form and other products in the 64-bit compiled object form.
Additionally, each platform has it's own compiler and it's own compiler switches, which are different per platform.
