GOAL:
Is there a way to load new settings / changes from the ubroker.properties file without restarting the AdminServer?
GOAL:
Do I have to restart the AdminServer when a change is made within the ubroker.properties file?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
If manual changes are performed to the ubroker.properties file. then under normal conditions, the AdminServer does not have to be restarted. If you manually edit the ubroker.properties while the AdminServer is running and then save the file, the AdminServer will notice the change and reload the ubroker.properties information into memory. The changes will take a few minutes to load, however once the reload is complete, just stop and restart the brokers (i.e., WebSpeed, AppServer) and it will pick up the changes.
