Printing using the Report Engine fails with SQL engine shutdown message
Report Builder has detected that the SQL engine has shut down due to a database error
A Typical installation of Personal Database license was done
CAUSE:
A Typical installation of the Personal Database license doesn't install the Report Builder Engine. The Report Engine is a mandatory subcomponent of the 4GL component of the product. The 4GL component, however, is an optional installation component, meaning that it will not be installed during a Typical installation.
FIX:
The Report Engine subcomponent should be added to the installation. A new Complete installation doesn't necessarily have to be done. See How to add a component to an existing installation of Progress? for details on how to add components and subcomponents to an existing installation.
