Getting file download pop-up box / window when trying to access WebSpeed application
Getting the file download pop-up box / window when trying to access WSMAdmin tool and/or ping command
File download pop-up box is displayed within the browser
File that it's trying to download is the messenger (i.e., cgiip.exe, wsisa.dll)
IUSER_<machinename> is the user starting IIS, webserver
Scripts virtual directory has Scripts only permissions set
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
Ensure that "Execute" Permissions are set on the scripts virtual directory to "Scripts and Executables".
To do this, follow instructions below.
1. Go into Internet Information Services.
2. Go under the defined website and expand all directories
3. Right click on the scripts virtual directory, i.e., scripts91d, scripts10a
4. Select Properties
5. Ensure that you are under the "Virtual Directory" tab
6. Under "Execute Permissions", set to "Scripts and Executables"
