What optimal percentage for "writes by BIW"?
GOAL:
Is 50% of "Writes by BIW" optimal?
FIX:
It is possible to see more than 50% of "Writes by BIW" on a system; there is never 100% of "writes by BIW".
It is to be noted that a system with, for example, 75% of Writes by BIW would run faster with an additional APW which would result in a lower rate of "Writes by BIW". An additional APW process may or may not increase overall performance; it certainly depends on the users activity.
Performance and Tuning is specific to an application, to a machine; 50% BI Writes might be optimal for the system where there is no BI Buffers wait and where the number of APWs is set for the best performance.
