GOAL:

What operating system patches are required for Progress 9.1x to run on different Solaris?

FIX:

As listed in Release Notes, the following C++ RTL patches are required to run Progress 9.1x on Solaris 2.6 or 2.7:

Solaris 2.6: 105591-07 (SPARC) or 104678-05 (Intel)
Solaris 2.7 32-bit: 106327-06 (SPARC) or 106328-06 (Intel)
Solaris 2.7 64-bit 106327-01 and 106300-07 (SPARC)

If you plan to build the Progress client or the Progress
AppServer executable using PROBUILD, you also need the following C++ 5.0 Compiler patches: 107357-07, 107830-02, 107311-09 and 107312-09.

At the time of writing, Progress does not require any specific SUN patches to run 9.1D on Solaris 8 or Solaris 9. However, the Java and XML patches required by SUN do still need to be installed.
