Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
NameServer is registered to a ws broker that is no longer running
NameServer is regeristered to a ws broker that is no longer present or defined within the current ubroker.properties file
Can not get the NameServer to register back to the correct broker
The ws broker is up and running correctly
AdminServer, NameServer and ws broker were all stopped and restarted
ws broker automatically starts, autoStart=1
NameServer is started manually, autoStart=0
FACT(s) (Environment):
WebSpeed 3.1x
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
CHANGE:
Added a new ws broker, saved file and then restarted all components. NameServer was registered to 2 ws brokers. Then shut down all components, reverted back to original ubroker.properties file (with 1 ws broker) and restarted all components.
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
Do the following to correct this issue:
1. Stopped all components
2. Verify that there are no java nor _progres processes present. If there are, please kill/eliminate the PID's for those processes.
3. Ensure that no components are set to autoStart (for the first time)
4. Start AdminServer first, then NameServer, and then ws broker.
When this issue occurs, the order of how components are started is important.
