User <nr> died holding 1 shared memory locks. (2522)
Begin ABNORMAL shutdown code 2 (2249)
CAUSE:
If a client is killed (using the TaskManager for example) this is equivalent to a kill -9 on UNIX (sends the signal SIGKILL), and this causes the errors seen above and shuts down the database.
FIX:
Use a third-party tool like the "Command Line Process Viewer/Killer/Suspender for Windows NT/2000/XP" (see: http://www.beyondlogic.org/solutions/processutil/processutil.htm ).
