How to suppress ADM2 messages
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
FIX:
If you want to change progress messages with the ADM2 source files this is not supported by Progress for several reasons.
1. If ADM2 sources are modified, when updating with a new Service Pack the customizations are lost.
2. Methods, functions and classes within the ADM2 vary from version to version, from Service Pack to Service Pack, thus your customization will be lost.
3. It has happend in the past that some ADM2 error messages have been changed or replaced, then catching them is not easy because this imply to have to modify the code of your application each time a change appears.
Therefore there is no way to suppress those ADM2 message other than modify ADM2 sourceode, modification of ADM2 source code is not supported by Progress.
