Status: Verified
SYMPTOM(s):
Attempting to run old report using Crystal Reports
ODBC error: [DataDirect-Technologies][ODBC PROGRESS driver][PROGRESS]Column not found/specified (7520)
Error detected by database DLL.
FACT(s) (Environment):
MERANT 3.50 32-BIT Progress SQL-89
MERANT 3.60 32-BIT Progress SQL-92
Windows
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
CHANGE:
Migrated from Progress 8.3E to Progress 9.1D
CHANGE:
Moved from Merant 3.50 SQL89 ODBC driver to Merant 3.60 SQL92 ODBC driver
CAUSE:
The Merant 3.50 SQL89 driver automatically returned the individual array field elements using a suffix of '__<n>' and the Merant 3.60 SQL92 driver does not automatically do this.
FIX:
Create a VIEW which manually implements each element of each array field as a separate field
