No different Progress-sp levels involved.
Fathom and Progress installed correctly without spaces in the install directory.
the exception file shows:
java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguments; nested exception is: java.net.MalformedURLException: no protocol: Files/Fathom
CAUSE:
The wrong java version is in use, namely still Jvm 1.3.0. Since 9.1d07 you need jvm 1.3.1.
FIX:
Install jvm 1.3.1.
