ProControl and misleading error messages.

INTRODUCTION:

You may have noticed that ProControl gives misleading error messages
to some problems.
Such as unable to find .lk file
PROGRESS ERROR NUMBER: ERROR TEXT: TYPE:

unable to find .lk file
POSSIBLE CAUSE OF ERROR:
========================
If you receive the "unable to find .lk file chances are that you have
a variation in the version numbers of the application that made
the database and the application that is trying to connect to the data
base.
i.e. you may have made the database with 6.2M and are trying to open
it with 8.1A or some similar situation.
DOES ERROR INDICATE CORRUPTION: IF SO, WHAT TYPE

This does not typical indicate corruption of any sort.
