SYMPTOM(s):
What Java Servlet Engines are supported with Progress and OpenEdge for versions 10.0A or lower?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
OpenEdge 10.x
Tomcat
ServletExec
JRun
JSE (Java Servlet Engines)
FIX:
Progress does not provide the The Web server and/or servlet engine and tests AIA and WSA using Servlet Exec, Jrun, and Tomcat. Any current JSE (even those not tested) should work with Progress as long as the Java Servlet Engine adheres to Sun Java Servlet specification Version 2.1 and is compatible with a Web Server.
If you are interested in using AIA or WSA with WebLogic, contact WebLogic to ensure they follow the above specification and provide directions on how to deploy a web application.
Any future version may implement some feature that breaks compatibility. If you run into any problems or errors, please report them to Progress Technical Support.
