GOAL:
How to modify Progress fonts in the progress.ini for GUI-based clients.
CAUSE:
This may be necessary when upgrading a development license, for example: V7.2D to V7.3B
FIX:
Start Progress and follow these steps. A database connection is not needed.
1) Enter the Procedure Editor.
2) Select the "Options" menu from the menu bar
3) Select "Default Fonts"
4) You will then get a scrollable font menu that will have fonts
0-7 as the default fonts. These fonts should not be tampered
with -- the "Edit" button will appear grayed out.
5) For fonts 8-255, however, the "Edit" button is active.
Click on the font number you need to edit. Here you can change
the font TYPE, STYLE, AND SIZE. The progress.ini should now
reflect these changes.
Alternatively, you can make the needed font changes directly in the progress.ini file. This may be necessary when using a character-based client.
