Please note that this article is provided purely as background information; Progress does not support Crystal Reports 10 using SQL-89 drivers.
It is still possible to make adjustments to the registry to alter the generation of OUTER-JOIN syntax to make it SQL-89 compatible. Please review the Crystal document cr9_left_outer_join.pdf, available at the link below. In order to enable SQL-89 compatible syntax, change:
Software\Crystal Decisions\9.0\Crystal Reports\Database\QueryBuilder\JoinBuilder
to:
Software\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal Reports\Database\QueryBuilder\JoinBuilder
Please ensure that you have a valid backup of your registry before making changes.
