It takes more then 30 minutes to get a list of single table in the preselection criteria during the creation of the MS SQL Server schema holder
Progress 9.1C took only up to 40 seconds
The MS SQL Server Database has over 24000 tables
MS SQL Server Database is local to the data server machine
Windows 2000(SP4) has the data server license installed
The data server broker is running on the Windows 2000 machine
Creating schema holder in HPUX 11 which has Progress 9.1D development and 9.1D database license installed
There is no Progress service pack for 9.1D installed in both Windows and the UNIX machine.
Installation of the Progress service pack 9.1D08 on the UNIX alone did not resolve the problem
After installing Progress 9.1D08 service pack to the data server machine, the problem is resolved.
CAUSE:
The Progress service pack 9.1D08 needs to be in same level in both the data server machine(windows 2000) and the progress client machine(HPUX 11).
FIX:
Install the Progress service pack 9.1D08 in both remote data server machine and the Progress client machine.
