Releasing regular latch, DB shutdown with 6.3F14 HP Patch
There is a known issue with Patch 6.3F14 specifically on the HP
Platform. Progress attempted to notify customers who have recieved
this patch, however , if a customer calls in experiencing the
following they must install patch 6.3F15 or higher.
Database abnormally shutsdown with the following error:
shut: releasing regular latch, latch id : 2
A second symptom of this is when a user runs promon against the
database and then enters 'q' to quit, it will force a shutdown of
the database with the above error. Again, the customer must install
patch 6.3F15 or higher to resolve this problem.
