SYMPTOM(s):
Visual Basic application uses ActiveX proxy generated by the Open Client Toolkit
The Visual Basic application will randomly fail to run because the proxy is no longer registered
Proxy must be reregistered before application will work
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
This is not a Progress problem as there is nothing built in to the Open Client Toolkit which would ever unregister a proxy. Check the client machine for viruses, failing hardware, a corrupted registry or background processes which attempt to clean up the registry.
