SYMPTOM(s):
Oracle DataServer client terminates with system error 794.
Usernum <n> terminated abnormally. (794)
Client is connecting remotely to Oracle DataServer.
Client process (prowin32.exe) crashes and Dr Watson logfile shows a problem with "stcomp" function.
Two users try to lock the same record.
Code uses EXCLUSIVE-LOCK mode with the NO-WAIT option.
The instruction at ""<nnnnnnnnnn>" referenced memory at "<nnnnnnnnnn>". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.
The instruction at ""<nnnnnnnnnn>" referenced memory at "<nnnnnnnnnn>". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program.
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing.
FIX:
Upgrade to Progress 9.1D.
