SYMPTOM(s):
Connection fom CorVu to Progress database using ODBC fails.
msgopen: unable to open promsgs file.
Test connection to the database within the ODBC Data Source Administrator succeeds.
CAUSE:
CorVu login screen was prompting for DSN information (Data Source Name). Instead a full connection string was used (-db <database name> -N TCP -S <portnumber> -H <hostname>).
FIX:
Use the DSN Data Source Name (DSN) instead of the full connection string.
