FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows XP
SYMPTOM(s):
Error. Aborting installation. Shut down these running processes before
reinstalling:
admsrv.exe
procfg.dll
environ.dll
eventlog.dll
CAUSE:
The files are being taken by Progress services.
FIX:
1)Kill the process _proserve from Windows Task Manager
2)Stop the service Proservice (If running)
3)Rename the file extensions 'dll' to 'old'
4)Reboot the Machine
