GOAL:
How can I stop r-code compiled against an identical schema running against my database?
GOAL:
What is the DBAUTHKEY used for?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
In order to protect against a user running code compiled against an identical schema when they haven't got right to compile against your database, you can add a key to the database that changes the CRC's of the database. This is done using the DBAUTHKEY option of PROUTIL. In order to add the key to your r-code, use the RCODEKEY option of PROUTIL
