RESULTS - Printer set up : New, Edit, Compressed & Landscape
How do I edit or add a new printer in Character Results?
From the Results Menu select:
1. A. Administration
2. P. Printer Setup
3. A. Add New Output Device ( to add a new printer)
or
C. Choose Device to Edit ( to edit an existing printer)
Desc for listing: Enter the name you want for the printer
Example: Mary's printer compressed/landscape
Device name: Enter the logical system name
Example: lp -dlwmis (lwmis is the printer name)
Maximum Width: use this option if you want to print wide report
Example: 132
Type: select from the list
NOTE: if UNIX environment choose thru
F1 to accept changes
F4 to end
Note: if the changes or new printers are not saved after leaving the
Administration module, see kbase entry 16658 "Unable to add and save
new printer in Unix Results".

How do I print compressed and/or landscape?
From the Printer Setup Menu select
1. S. Control Sequences
2. Initialization line: Put in the escape sequences for your printer.
(See your printer documentation to determine the control sequences
you can use)
3. F1 to accept and F4 to end
The following example is for an HP laser printer:
(Note: ~033 is esc)
Landscape:~033&l1O This is entered as:
Initialization : esc '&' 'l' '1' 'O'
(the characters are 'lowercase L' 'Number 1' 'Capital O'
Compressed:~033(s16.66H This is entered as:
Initialization: esc '(' 's' '1' '6' '.' '6' '6' 'H'
(The characters are 'left parenthesis' 'lowercase s'
'number 1' 'number six' 'period' 'number six' (twice) and
'capital H')
