GOAL:
Fathom trend database is not being shutdown when AdminServer is stopped
GOAL:
Databases are not stopped when AdminServer has been shutdown
GOAL:
Why are databases not restarted when I restart AdminService ?
GOAL:
how to stop databases when AdminService is stopped
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.X
OpenEdge 10.0X
All Supported Operating Systems
Fathom Management
Fathom Replication
FIX:
Although AdminServer has the capability to automatically start databases, the AdminServer does not shutdown databases when it gets shutdown - this behaviour is by design. A database that has been started with the Progress Explorer should not shut down if the AdminServer is stopped.
Should you need to stop database(s) together with AdminServer, use dbman or proshut command utilities. For further information, please refer to the Database Administration Documentation or Solutions.
