FACT(s) (Environment):
WebSpeed 3.1x
SYMPTOM(s):
OS-COMMAND gives 'Access denied' error in WebSpeed 3.1x
OS-COMMAND "type <file> > server.printer" fails in WebSpeed 3.1x
OS-COMMAND "type <file> > server.printer" worked fine in WebSpeed 2.1x
OS-COMMAND VALUE ( "type print.txt > \\server\printer"). does not work after upgrading to WebSpeed 3.1x
CHANGE:
Upgraded from WebSpeed 2.1x to 3.1x
CAUSE:
The cause for this is that WebSpeed is started as a service in 3.x, whereas it started as a regular process in 2.x.
FIX:
Start the WebSpeed Broker Using Domain\Account. Refer to Solution 19244, How To Start A Broker Using Domain\Account
