Roundtable code load fails to find my source code
Symptom: when trying to do a Code Load, you get the message
"No source code files exist in or below <drive:/workspace path> that
have not already been loaded into Roundtable."
First, make sure you have created a workspace module with the same
structure as the directory where your source code is located.
Code Load will look for code in a structure base on
Drive:/workspace path/module source path.
Double check to make sure you do have source objects in this
directory.
If Roundtable fails to find your objects, it may be that you have not
correctly defined the source directory for your workspace module.
To check this, look under Admin -> Properties. Click on Definitions
Maintenance. A list of your workspace module definitions will appear.
Select the module where your source code is located. Look at the
fill-in labeled Source Directory. This is the sub-directory (under
the workspace path) where Roundtable will look for source code for
this module. If you leave this blank, Roundtable will look in the
workspace path but ignore the module when doing a Code Load. You may
fill in the Source Directory box with the same name as the workspace
module. This will tell Roundtable to look for source code in a
directory named with the same name as your module.
Another reason Roundtable may fail to find your objects during a
Code Load involves Network Mapping. If your source code is on a
networked drive, or another local drive other than the one containing
your working directory, you must have Network Mapping enabled.
Otherwise, Roundtable will ignore all workspace drive assignments and
and assume all your workspace directories are local. When performing
a Code Load, the error dialog box will tell you where Roundtable is
looking for you source code. If the path begins with a "/",
Roundtable is looking at your local drive.
Note: after enabling Network Mapping (under Admin -> Site Information)
you must leave the current task momentarily, and then re-enter this
task in order to cause the Network Mapping to take effect.
Also, make sure the workspace is mapped to the correct drive.
Check this under Admin -> Drive Assignments -> Workspace and make the
correct assignment if necessary.
More information on Code Load may be found in Kbase 15372 and in the
Roundtable User's Guide on page 7-11. Also note that Code Load will
be replace by Module Load in Roundtable version 8.1a.
