A JVM has not been detected when installing Progress on RedHat Enterprise 3.0
PATH to JVM/bin is set correctly with the OS environment
JVM 1.3.1 is being used
Installation of products that require JAVA will not be allowed
CAUSE:
An older version of JVM 1.3.X is being used and this has a conflict with glibc2-3.X version of the C-library that is packaged with RedHat Linux AS/ES/WS 3.0
FIX:
Steps:
1) Download and install latest JVM 1.3.1 from SUN site. The required build is 1.3.1_10 or later
2) Change the entry in DLC/bin/java_env pointing to a newly installed JVM from step 1)
