SYMPTOM(s):
Unwanted prompt for username/password when connecting to database.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Prompting of user for userid and password is not wanted.
Security is not being used by the application.
DBA had not enabled Security for 4GL users.

CAUSE:
Users were added to _user table for SQL-92 Access when users are added to the Security User List.
When users are added to the _user table for any purpose, 4GL users will be prompted for a userid and password.
FIX:
From the Progress/Data Administration/Admin/Sercurity/Edit User List and remove all users.
