Installation Error 140
This Kbase is created to assist anyone that may experience error 140
during a Progress Installation.
The error 140 states:
Expiration for the configuration date has passed - enter = okay
This error occurs when trying to run the ./proinst script. The error
is associated with someone entering an older or incorrect control
code.
Recommendation is to validate control codes with the Addendum which
is included with the Installation media. If still experiencing
problems, please contact Progress Technical Assistance for validation
of Control Codes for the serial # of the products you are attempting
to install.
If it is determined that the control codes being used truly have expired, then the issue will be referred to Sales for further assistance. In most cases new control codes can be faxed or emailed to the customer in an attempt to resolve the issue in a timely fashion.
