FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1D 64-bit
SYMPTOM(s):
SQL89 OIDriver CPU utilization goes runaway on 64-Bit Progress when 4GL client and SQL89 client lock the same record.
CAUSE:
This was caused by Bug #: 20031117-065 and is only valid for the 64-Bit Progress OIDriver
FIX:
The fix is contained in Service Pack 9.1D08
Several possible workarounds Exist.
1) Use an OIBroker and Driver from another machine which isn't 64-Bit and have the OIBroker remotely connect to the database
2) Use SQL-92
