GOAL:

How does Progress administer the Server Processes?

SYMPTOM(s):

After the disconnection of the clients, the server process is still there.

FIX:

There's nothing weird about this behavior, progress works like that on regular basis,
A server process starts when a client connects to the database, when this client disconnect then the server process remains, the reason is because keeping the process on memory take less resources from the machine rather than Stopping and and restarting the server process .If having a very high number of server process is not desirable, it could be possible setting Mn and Mbp parameters to different values which allow you to choose the number of server process and the number of clients for each server process.
