SYMPTOM(s):
Page not found error with the cgiip.exe messenger using the IIS 6.0 web server
WebSpeed broker is started and web server is running
CAUSE:
IIS 6.0 Web Service Extension has 'Prohibited' for 'All Unknown CGI Extensions'.
FIX:
Start the 'Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager' console
and click on the 'Web Services Extensions' node in the treeview.
Two options are possible:
- Choose 'All Unknown CGI Extensions' and click <Allow> button
or
- From 'Tasks' choose 'Add a new Web service extension..." and
in the 'New Web Service Extension' dialog type-in extension name
(any value) and click on the button <Add> where the path to the
WebSpeed messenger executable should be entered. Make sure that
this extension is allowed.
