SYMPTOM(s):
You are not allowed to connect to a database in $DLC. (1379)
CAUSE:
As the description of the message says in the development tools (Help/messages):
The databases that reside in the $DLC directory can not be connected to. If you like, you can make a copy of these databases using the prodb or procopy utilities. Once you have done this, you can then access the copied databases.
FIX:
Do not try to connect to (or proserve) a database located in the installation directory of Progress. If you like, you can make a copy of these databases using the prodb or procopy utilities, to a directory outside of the installation of Progress. Once you have done this, you can then access the copied databases.
