SYMPTOM(s):

Using ActiveX Automation Object called ASEmail to send email

Doesn't want this installed on each client machine

Wants to install it once on the server and have each client run it from there

CAUSE:

Progress clients cannot directly execute a .p on another machine without using the AppServer.

FIX:

Create a batch program that runs on the server and periodically scans a database table for things to process. Each client would then write records to that table rather than trying to do the work itself.
