The answer is Yes.
The way that this is done is to specify the SDO hierarchy in the SBO instance property sheet. In the instance properties of the SBO you are able to place the SDO's in the update/retrieval order. This should be the order according to the Data links between the SDO's.
If you need to get the details of the contained SDO's attached to the SDV's you can use the 'ObjectMapping', 'DataObjectNames' and 'ContainedDataObjects' properties of the SBO.
