GOAL:
Is it true that the Progress dump/load procedures cannot handle fields larger than 3,000 bytes as documented in the Progress Database Administration Guide and Reference?
FIX:
No this is a known documentation bug that is scheduled to be fixed in release 10.0A.
The 3,000 byte is an old limitation on the Progress dump/load procedures that has been removed in Progress as early as version 5.
