Is it possible to run Fathom Replication when the source and target databases have a different before image cluster size ?
GOAL:
Is it possible to run Fathom Replication when the source and target databases have a different before image block size ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Fathom Replication
FIX:
Yes, having different before image cluster size and/or before image block size on source and target databases is possible.
The bi file on the source replicated database can be truncated and hence changes to the bi-cluster and bi-blocksize using the -bi and -biblocksize parmeters can be made on the source.
Is NOT possible however to truncate bi file on a target replicated database. Should there be a need to have these equal, the replication baseline will need to be reset.
It is always advisable to have more fixed bi file space on the target than the source.
