Dear PSDN Premier Member:
PSDN Premier Members were selected to participate in the Web Services Technology Preview program. As part of the PSDN SDK, you have received the preview software for the Web Services Toolkit (WSTK). Thank you for participating in the Web Services Technology Preview program. The program·s goal was to test the design and implementation of the OpenEdge platform·s first Web service tools. Customers· work with the Web Services Toolkit and their subsequent feedback has helped us develop a robust, commercial-quality set of tools. These new Web services tools will be made available as part of the upcoming OpenEdge Release 10.
The WSTK Technology Preview program will end 5 Jan 2004. We ask that you cease using the software at that time. Support services for the software also expire on 5 Jan 2004, after which date we will not offer technical support.
At the outset of the program, we could not guarantee forward compatibility between the preview software and the commercial version. We are pleased to note that the Web services you developed using the Technology Preview of the WSTK will be compatible with the OpenEdge 10 environment.
In January, you will be receiving an update to the PSDN SDK that includes the new OpenEdge 10 products. We hope that you continue your Web services development with OpenEdge 10 where you can also take advantage of 4GL client-side support for calling Web services.
